    Why do I need a new bottom bracket for QO cranks?

    QO cranksets use a 29 mm DUB spindle, while Shimano cranksets use a 24 mm axle. The bearings in your current bottom bracket are sized for 24 mm, so the QO spindle won't fit through them. Swapping the bottom bracket for a DUB-compatible one solves it — your frame doesn't change at all.

    Will a DUB bottom bracket fit my frame?

    Almost certainly yes. DUB bottom brackets exist for virtually every frame standard: BSA and Italian threaded, T47, PressFit BB86/BB92, BB30, PF30, BB386 EVO and BBright. The only notable exception is Trek's older BB90/95 system, where the bearings sit directly in the frame and there's no room for a 29 mm spindle — the finder will tell you honestly if that's your case.

    Can I install it myself?

    If your frame is threaded (BSA, Italian or T47): yes. You need a bottom bracket wrench and about five minutes. If your frame is press-fit (BB86/92, BB30, PF30, BB386, BBright), we recommend a workshop — removing and pressing bearings needs specific tools, and any bike shop does it in about 20 minutes.

    Yes. Every QO crankset is built around the same 29 mm DUB spindle, so the bottom bracket the finder recommends works with any QO model you choose.
